Tour Reviews Anger Management Tour -This show rocked. Not the best show I've ever seen, but the best Limp Bizkit show i've ever seen. We arrived at the Target Center just in time to buy a tour shirt and find our seats. Xhibit opened with a half way decent set. I'm not big into straight rap, but they were ok. Their stage set had a cool walk way type thing with lights. I hated where our seats were way high up and sort of ubstructive view. After Xhibit we went over some to meet up with my cousin and roommate. Papa Roach opened with "Infest" i was so stoked that they opened with the song I've always been saying they should open with. This show was so much better then the time i saw them with Korn. He sounded so good and was so energetic. They played most of my favorite songs and Coby Dick just rocked. His mic kept going out so he'd have to grab another one. He was getting so pissed just throwing the mics all over the place. Then he was swinging a corded mic all around. It was sweet. The show had a runway that went out into the crowd and Coby would constently do front flips off of it. It was nuts. He was in the crowd half the time. After P Roach's awesome set it was Eminems turn. I was sort of excited to get to see Eminem, even though I am not a huge fan. I only knew his singles and maybe one or two other songs. Eminem opened with a movie like thing that was similar to The Blair Witch. Once that was over he came out of a run-down house that was his set using a chainsaw and wearing a Jason Mask type thing. It was pretty cool. His dj was on top of the house and he had another guy on stage that did shit with him. I really liked Eminem's stage presence. He walks around on the stage pretty cool, with a sort of shuffle and the old ball grabing thing. They did all of the singles except My Name Is, which they started but then stopped and went into an insulting boy-bands. It was pretty cool. About half way through the show they had a break while we watched an awesome cartoon sort of like South Park but also had Eminem and the boys in it. This was pretty funny, but was a total rip from Korns Sick and Twisted Tour. After the cartoon they came back out, this time instead of the house his stage was a big castle. It was pretty cool. I had never seen a band use 2 sets. Anyways finally Eminem was finished and i was fairly satisfyed with his performance. Stan was probably my favorite of the songs. Now we had to wait all that time for Limp to out. Finally after the longest wait, they started. And yes, they started with the song i bet everyone they would. They begain with the Intro and right into Hotdog. It was so cool. Their set was had like 2 big robots on each side and a big Transformer in the middle. The only crappy thing about the set was that DJ Lethal was on our side and John was on the other side of the Transformers head so we couldn't see him ever. I really liked this show better then the first time i had seen Limp. He samed more into it. He jumped around a lot more and danced around and stuff. I couldn't believe it when he took a full running attack and dived off the runway. It was so awesome, i never saw something so cool before. The crowd totaly swallowed him up and security had to go find him. He lost his hat and had to go in back and get a new shirt on and new hat. Oh and of course he only wore a black shirt, red hat and his tan pants. While he was changing Wes played some cool songs and stuff. I was disapointed with Wes a tad. He didn't wear any lights like normal. but he had his long coat on and his face painted, and i love how he dances around the stage and stuff. This time Sam the bassist had lights in the fretts of his bass, it was awesome. Anyways, back to the show. Limp had some really nice pyrotechnics and stuff. They played lots of my favorite sings like "My Way", but i was disapointed that they did "1999" they shouldn't have done that one. I was pissed they didn't do "no sex", that was crappy, but what can you expect they don't have all that much time to play. I like how Fred talks to the crowd a lot, some bands don't do that often. But i guess that's how Korn plays so many songs cause Jonathan never talks to the crowd. Either way both of those bands are good. Anyways, i really liked this show, and hated the Target Center. I give Xhibit a 6.5, Papa Roach a 9.5, Eminem a 9, and Limp Bizkit a 9.5. So overall this show was about a 9 or so on ranking. |
